Fla. lawmakers agree on $36.3M for disability aid

Florida House and Senate lawmakers are working out details of a state budget and have agreed to allocate $36.3 million to help at least 750 residents with developmental disabilities who are on a waiting list that has grown to some 22,000 names. The money would go to a waiver program for home- and community-based services, and officials said those getting assistance would have the most intensive needs.
