N.Y. Catholic school allows gay couple to attend dance

An all-boys Catholic school in New York said last month that it would allow two boys to attend their Junior Ball together. Father Edward Salmon, president of McQuaid Jesuit High School, wrote a letter to the school community detailing the Catholic Church's teaching regarding respect for LGBT individuals. "[I]f our two brothers who have asked to attend the Junior Ball wish to do so, they will be welcomed," Salmon wrote.
