Va. electric cooperative to build $675M power plant in Md.

Virginia's Old Dominion Electric Cooperative will apply to build a gas-fired generating plant in rural Cecil County, Md. The Wildcat Point Generation Facility would generate 1,000 megawatts and cost an estimated $675 million. "Constructing a state-of-the art, environmentally sound facility will ensure our members have access to reliable, affordable and locally produced power far into the future," said Jackson Reasor Jr., Old Dominion's president and CEO.
