Walking is easiest way for middle-age adults to start exercising

Mayo Clinic physiologist Dr. Michael Joyner says out-of-shape middle-age adults who want to start exercising have many options, from biking to swimming to a gym membership, but the simplest may be walking for 30 minutes. He says a workout needs to be moderately vigorous to get the heart pumping, but the 30 minutes do not need to be done all at once.
