What Baucus' retirement could mean for device tax repeal efforts

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., who was the chief author of the Affordable Care Act, likely won't support overturning the 2.3% medical device tax while he's still in office, AdvaMed's J.C. Scott said. But the news about the senator stepping down next year could change the game on the repeal effort, which Scott said still involves making it a part of a broader package such as a corporate tax reform.
