Louisiana Senate OKs bill to end gas euthanasia at shelters

The Louisiana Senate unanimously passed a bill that would outlaw gas chambers in the state's animal shelters. The bill, headed now to the House, would also prohibit intracardiac injection as a form of euthanasia, unless the animal is already unconscious or anesthetized.
