Aggressive diabetes treatment isn't linked to higher death rates

Researchers re-examined data from an ongoing diabetes study and found that rapidly lowering the blood sugar levels of Type 2 diabetes patients doesn't correlate with higher mortality rates. Data show that patients with the lowest A1C levels actually recorded the lowest mortality rates, one of the researchers said.
