Aggressive diabetes treatment not linked to higher death rates

Researchers examined data from an ongoing diabetes study and found that rapidly lowering the blood sugar levels of Type 2 diabetes patients does not correlate with higher mortality rates. Data show that patients with the lowest blood sugar levels actually recorded the lowest mortality rates, one of the researchers said.
