Health care organizations across the U.S. are tapping into telehealth technology to deliver care to patients in areas where there is a lack of medical specialists or to connect medical experts with patients in transit. For instance, specialists at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center are equipped with telemedicine gear, including high-resolution videos and digital stethoscopes, to give them a head start in administering care to pediatric patients coming by ambulance from other hospitals.
