CDC finds high obesity prevalence among arthritis sufferers

CDC researchers looking at data from 2003 to 2009 said obesity was 54% more prevalent among adults with arthritis compared with those without the condition. The study in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report also found that the number of states with more than 40% of adult arthritis patients who were obese rose from zero in 2005 to 12 in 2009.
