Chef advocates for "learning through food"

Celebrity chef Alice Waters recently joined officials from Los Angeles schools and the University of California, Los Angeles, for a discussion about nutrition and her vision for "learning through food." Waters advocates for using food to teach a range of subjects, from math to language arts. She also has developed the Edible Schoolyard -- a garden at a Calif. middle school that doubles as a classroom.
