CVS Caremark touts drug-disposal program

CVS Caremark says its Sharps Compliance Takeaway Environmental Return program keeps unused prescription drugs out of the hands of teens who might abuse them, after a survey found a 33% increase in teen misuse of drugs during the past five years, to 25% of teens. "CVS Caremark can help patients properly manage and dispose of their medications to reduce incidences of teen misuse and abuse," said Papatya Tankut, vice president of pharmacy affairs.
