Google's Active View system, which measures ad viewability, has won accreditation by the Media Rating Council. The tool turns viewability into an "actionable metric," with brands able to top to buy only inventory that is at least 50% on-screen for a second or longer, asserts Google display-advertising executive Neal Mohan.
