Italy seizes 268,000 medical devices after inspections

National health care authorities in Italy have seized approximately 268,000 medical devices estimated to be worth $1.7 million as a result of inspections conducted in the first quarter of this year. Overall, 19.3% of medical devices and 26.8% of pharmaceuticals examined in around 5,300 nationwide inspections were found to be in breach of established standards, including administrative ones.
