Mexico aims to align derivatives rules with global standards

Agustin Carstens, governor of the central bank of Mexico, said that his nation will seek to align its derivatives rules with those of international standards. "Many derivatives imply international operations, so it would be desirable for Mexico to adjust to international regulation," Carstens said at a banking conference in Acapulco.
