Obama's fracking research draws ire of House Republicans

The Obama administration's research into hydraulic fracturing is not only taking too long and costing too much, but there is no need for it, several House Republicans charged. "We all want to ensure safe and responsible production of oil and natural gas, but the combination of the administration's track record on fracking and the delays associated with developing these plans provide cause for concern," said Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas. "Shale gas is the solution, it's not the problem," said Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah.
