U.S. advertising growth is expected to accelerate in the second half of this year and double its pace in 2014, according to Pivotal Research. Currently pegged at 1% for the first half of 2013, a 1.4% rate in the second half projects full-year growth of 1.2%. Pivotal senior analyst Brian Wieser predicts a 3.2% growth rate next year, led by digital ad growth momentum.
