Research suggests that in language learning situations, fluency increases when students have meaningful opportunities to interact with each other in the language they are learning, teacher Natasha Baker writes. "It is important though to model the 'correct' interaction to the students," she writes. "I often give my students frames and expressions that I want them to use while working in pairs or groups."
