WPP's first-quarter revenue rose 5.9% year-over-year to $3.91 billion, beating analysts' estimates. The company credited growth in digital sales and in China and Brazil, made possible by timely acquisitions when the European market stalled. Net new business was down from $1.86 billion in Q1 2012 to $1.5 billion this year.
