Obama faces uphill battle with export goal

President Barack Obama faces numerous obstacles in trying to double U.S. exports during the next five years, say some economists and business leaders. They note that it could be difficult to knock down trade barriers and that because more American companies have started to produce goods overseas, they have less need to export. Exporters in the U.S. say stronger action by the federal government could boost U.S. exports, and they want lawmakers to push for no tariffs and increase penalties for intellectual-property violations.
