Group diabetes education may not offer long-term benefits

Type 2 diabetes patients who participated in group education programs did not attain better blood glucose and cholesterol levels, body weight, and quality of life after three years compared with those who did not. The findings suggest that diabetes education programs may not offer long-term benefits in patients, researchers reported in the British Medical Journal.
