The left radial access permitted by transradial percutaneous coronary intervention is advantageous for certain patients, according to TALENT study findings, yet it is little used in the U.S. and other nations. SCAI fellow Dr. Sunil Rao was a reviewer on a European consensus document outlining parameters for the approach, and he said fellows on his team train for left radial access when appropriate patients surface.
