Bill seeks to outfit National Guard as cybersecurity force

The National Guard could see its list of responsibilities grow if Congress passes legislation sponsored by five House members that would expand its duties to include cybersecurity protection. The Cyber Warrior Act -- which is co-sponsored by Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pa., and has a companion bill in the Senate -- would require Guard units to recruit members with network security experience and create individual state-based cyber units.
