Device designed to ID multiple biomarkers in exhaled breath

Cambridge CMOS Sensors, a Cambridge University spinoff, has created a breath testing tool that can identify a broader range of biomarkers compared with similar devices under development. The technology, which uses broad spectrum infrared, is said to have the ability to spot 35 unique biomarker compounds at concentrations as low as one part per million.
