Food stamp users are whole fruit consumers

With 23 million U.S. households on food stamps, those who are on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are 23% more apt to eat whole fruit compared to those who are not, researchers found. The number of farmers markets and farm stands that accept food stamps from SNAP has gone up almost 100% since 2010.
