Freescale offers bullish forecast for Q2

Freescale Semiconductor forecasts its revenue in the current quarter will range from $1 billion to $1.04 billion, with the high end above the average analyst estimate of $1.01 billion compiled by Bloomberg. For the first quarter, the chipmaker posted a net loss of $48 million, compared with a year-ago net loss of $9 million, while revenue rose 3.3% to $981 million.
