Kan. students produce historical films, websites for national competition

Students at Lawrence High School in Kansas gave their history lessons a Hollywood twist, by producing documentaries on the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and the World War II propaganda films by Walt Disney. The student-made films, along with projects by other school students including a website on the political and cultural legacy of Genghis Khan, will be featured in the National History Day contest in June.
