New apps lead fitness buffs to groups with similar interests

A poll found that many social media users get irritated when people post regular details about their exercise routines or accomplishments, so a new wave of applications, such as Daily Mile, allow fitness buffs to target their updates to like-minded user groups. Another group app, Yog, allows runs to be scheduled based on time, date and distance parameters so people from different locations can participate.
