Jim Rohr, who ran PNC Financial Group for 13 years, says cybersecurity is a banking industry problem that isn't getting enough attention. Some financial institutions are not able to defend themselves against hackers, he said. "When you are thinking about risk to the financial system, we are doing a really good job of nailing down the historic mistakes," Rohr says. "But we are missing what technology is doing to the industry." In this interview, he also discusses capital requirements and Federal Reserve "stress tests," among other issues.
