Supreme Court upholds ruling on part of Ala. immigration law

The Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal from the state of Alabama about a lower court ruling that blocked a portion of its immigration law. The high court upheld the injunction on a provision that made it a crime to harbor people who entered the country illegally. The case could reappear in the high court because similar immigration laws are being disputed in nine other states.
