Survey: Midlevel tech leaders not getting needed mentoring

Midlevel chief information officers are not getting enough mentoring, according to a Russell Reynolds Associates survey. That doesn't bode well for IT professionals hoping to be global CIOs or for top IT executives, as they need strong management teams to execute IT strategy, according to Russell Reynolds' Shawn Banerji, who said the scenario is "a death knell for functional IT leadership and [getting a seat] at the board level."
