Google wants YouTube to make money this year

Google is aiming to make money from its popular video-sharing site YouTube, an initiative that CEO Eric Schmidt says is the company's highest priority in 2008. "I don't think we've quite figured out the perfect solution of how to make money, and we're working on that," Schmidt said in an interview with CNBC, adding that YouTube has lined up new products designed to generate advertising revenue.
