Study forecasts big growth for home-automation systems

Home-automation systems, a 237,000-unit market in 2007, will grow to 2.8 million by 2011 and on to 4 million by 2013, according to ABI Research. In fact, ABI said that the only segment of the home-automation market that will be significantly affected by the recession is the relatively mature luxury portion, in which systems can go for $50,000 or more.
