Children with ADHD show thalamic abnormalities

Researchers said scans of the thalamic surface of children with ADHD show marked volume loss in the region of the pulvinar nuclei. Patients taking stimulant drugs at the time of the scan had pulvinar volumes closer to their peers without ADHD and larger than those who had ADHD but were not on medication.
