Aereokiller is infringing on copyrights, broadcast nets say

Streaming service startup Aereokiller should not be allowed to relaunch operations because its business model is based on using broadcast content without permission, TV networks wrote in a federal appeals court filing. "Aereokiller represents the latest in a long line of services that, utilizing various technologies, have sought to retransmit over-the-air broadcasts of television programming without licenses to do so," they write. "By failing to obtain the necessary copyright licenses to retransmit broadcast television programming, Aereokiller is infringing."
