CNN posts big audience gains in April

CNN in April saw a major boost because of the breaking news events surrounding the Boston bombings, tallying an 80% ratings jump in its overall audience and more than doubling its ratings among the key 25-to-54 segment, compared with the same month in 2012. Fox News remained far ahead of CNN, increasing its overall viewership by 14% overall, while third-place network MSNBC posted a small drop in its total audience and remained flat among the 25-to-54 demo.
