Construction employment in NYC's private sector rises 2.4% YoY

An analysis of employment data by the New York State Building Congress shows construction employment in the private sector increased by 2.4% last year and first quarter employment this year is 1.3% higher than the year-ago level. Of the roughly 1,500 or 2,000 jobs added since last year, a high number were related to Superstorm Sandy restoration work, said Richard Anderson, president of the New York Building Congress.
