Demand strengthens for arm lifts

Demand for arm lifts was up 3% in 2012 over 2011 and are most popular with women older than 40. The trend is driven by sleeveless fashions and celebrities with toned arms, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "For some women, the arms have always been a troublesome area and, along with proper diet and exercise, liposuction can help refine them," ASPS President Gregory Evans said. Patients who have had weight-loss surgery may choose brachioplasty to tighten excess skin, Evans said.
