Dinneen: RFS, ethanol have been good for the farm sector

The Renewable Fuels Association has filed its comments for the House Energy and Commerce Committee's white paper on the Renewable Fuel Standard's impact on the farm sector. It must be noted that "a central objective in developing a vibrant and robust ethanol industry was to increase demand for agricultural products and enhance farm income," which the RFS has successfully done, said RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen. Increased ethanol production and use have turned the grain sector from a "stagnating, surplus-driven marketplace to one that is vibrant, high-tech and demand-driven," Dinneen said.
