President Barack Obama's quip about not wanting to go for drinks with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was an attempt to laugh off a real problem, Beltway watchers say. The president's already bad relationship with congressional Republicans has worsened in recent weeks, making it all the harder for the White House to push through its policy agenda. "There's clearly not much of a relationship between Obama and Mitch McConnell. Ultimately, he's going to have to rely on Joe Biden to get anything done," says GOP strategist and former House staffer John Feehery.
