Enterprises choose BYOD, anticipate security risks

Enterprises are bullish on employing bring-your-own-device strategies, but they are hardly oblivious to the security risks involved, according to a new survey that finds a majority of BYOD adopters anticipate a mobile security breach in their future. In a poll of 236 conference participants conducted by Symantec, seven out of 10 respondents say the risks attached to BYOD are worth it given the benefits. It also found that more than 40% of employees use personal devices for work, even if their employers don't maintain a policy that allows them to do so.
