Evidence continues to evolve on health, risks of various fats

Nutritionists do not always agree on what types of fat people should consume for better health or how much, but the science is clear that saturated fat is worse than unsaturated fat, according to the Consumers Union. Data have also linked omega-3 fats to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease while evidence varies on whether excess omega-6 fat may promote inflammation.
