Gartner: Salesforce tops SAP in CRM revenue at $2.5 billion

Salesforce grew its customer-relationship management revenue by 26% to about $2.5 billion in 2012, supplanting SAP ($2.3 billion) at the top of the vertical, according to Gartner. The overall market for CRM products rose 12.5% over 2011 to $18 billion, with 40% of all sales coming in the software-as-a-service area.
