Gay N.Y. state senator seeks ban on "ex-gay" therapy for youth

New York state Sen. Brad Hoylman, an openly gay Democrat who represents portions of Manhattan, has introduced legislation that would ban therapy aimed at changing sexual orientation for those younger than 18. "It not only is impossible, but it is detrimental to young people to attempt to convert them," Hoylman said.
