Google expands reach of personal assistant tool

Google Now, which is available on iPhones and iPads, is part of Google's push to offer users valuable contextual information such as what the weather will be like or how much traffic is on the road. The application is similar to Apple's Siri, a personal assistant that answers questions and performs tasks based on voice commands. Google Now has been available on smartphones and tablets with the latest version of Google's Android software.
