The more you know about an industry, the harder it is to shake off your preconceptions and engage in meaningful innovation, writes Andy Zynga. Open innovation can help diminish the impact of that "curse of knowledge," although it's never possible to eliminate it altogether. "In our role as innovation facilitators, we have to remember that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing -- and a lot of knowledge can be a curse," Zynga writes.
