HD Radio is becoming standard in many cars, iBiquity says

Some 25% to 30% of vehicles being produced in 2013 are projected to offer factory-installed HD Radio, according to iBiquity. Those statistics translate to sales of 4.6 million HD Radio receivers this year, compared with 3.9 million in sales in 2012. "Many broadcasters might be surprised that for most automakers today, AM/FM radio means HD Radio technology," said iBiquity CEO Bob Struble.
