How cybercriminals lure Facebook users into clicking dangerous links

Facebook has bolstered its security systems in response to online scammers and spammers, but many cybercrooks continue to make a comfortable living ripping off the network's users, says Catalin Cosoi of Bitdefender. Messages that promise video of the bedroom activities of celebrities win clicks from unwary users, with educated but nontechnical males the most likely to fall prey to scams, Cosoi says. "The compulsive social media behavior of a few users helps scammers maintain a profitable business," he says.
