MAC swap is intended to neutralize swap-future advantage

ISDA recently introduced the market-agreed coupon, or MAC, interest-rate swap as part of an effort to protect liquidity of the swaps market from futurization. However, market participants are concerned that a standardized swap will blur the line between the over-the-counter and futures markets.
