Meat and turkey groups refute Consumer Reports article

An article scheduled to run in the June issue of Consumer Reports says antibiotic-resistant disease-causing organisms were found in many ground turkey samples. “Consumer Reports had the opportunity to foster a serious, thoughtful discussion about food safety, but instead it chose to sensationalize findings and mislead people,” said National Turkey Federation president Joel Brandenberger.
